the story

A long time ago, there was a man named Abraham. God loved Abraham very much and chose him for a special plan. One day, God spoke to Abraham and said, "Abraham, I want you to leave your home and go to a new land that I will show you."

Abraham loved God and trusted Him, so he listened & obeyed. He packed up his things, gathered his family, and started their journey to the new land! It was an exciting adventure!

As they traveled, God continued to guide Abraham. He promised to bless him and make his family so great and so many like the sand & stars! Abraham believed God's promises, even though he couldn't see how it would happen.

Abraham arrived in the new land, and God showed him the beautiful land He had prepared for him and his family. Abraham was thankful and built places to worship and thank God for His goodness to him & his family!

Give each child a sheet of construction paper. Help them trace their feet on the paper using markers or crayons. Assist the children in cutting out the footprints. Encourage them to decorate the footprints with colors and patterns using markers or crayons. They can also write the words "Faith" or "Trust" on their footprints if they wish. Optional: They can glue or tape the footprints onto a larger piece of construction paper or cardboard to create a collage. Let the children display their "Faithful Footprints" craft as a reminder of Abraham's trust and faith in God.
